The DOTD had a couple of signs out on the roads last week advertising a "Safety Expo." I didn't really know what this was until the newspaper had a small article about it. When I read about it, I convinced Brian that we should go as something to do. So after school/day care on Wednesday, we headed to the coliseum.
They had firetrucks:
(I didn't get to take Mary Claire's picture driving the truck because when she was up there, the fireman opened and slammed the back door and scared the poor girl something terrible! But, just for documentation purposes....she did get up there!)This fire truck was originally a truck from FDNY that was donated to Louisiana after our help with 9/11.
The Coast Guard had their boat there:
This was the State Police's intervention robot. It was very neat and even brought the girls water bottles!
