Brian and I were talking the other day on our trip to Arlington (another blog post for another day) about living in Alexandria versus a big city. He was complaining that "we have nothing to do here and there's so much more to offer in a big city." So I've made it my mission to find fun and interesting things around town for our family to do.
I've been picking up a local publication called "
Cenla Focus" and have found some activities in there. One I found was a Civil War tent area reconstruction and then a war re-enactment. We didn't get to stay for the re-enactment because I had to get home and go to work, but we did go see everything else.
