Funny Molly

I have been trying to do 30 minutes of exercise daily. Last night I decided to ride my bicycle and asked Molly if she wanted to ride in the wagon I have attached to my bike. She nodded yes and said, "Mammy (how she says Mary) too!"

Brian and I thought that was too cute!!

Changes

I have made up my mind. I am ready to change my body. I am ready to tone up and get in shape. I want to start setting a good example for my two beauties. I don't want them growing up with me always talking negatively about my body. I want them to see what it takes to get in shape and have a good, positive self-image.

Tomorrow I am off work and I'm going to start a new workout blog complete with a starting weight and pictures. I'm going to document my workouts and hopefully this will keep me motivated and on target.

I have finally let go of some of the "mommy guilt" that has been holding me back. I'd like to credit mamalaughlin.com for helping me get rid of the guilt.

I haven't yet decided if I'm going to share the other blog's address just yet. I'm feeling really excited and motivated about this and hope I can stick with it!

Mary Claire funnies

We got her Prompt Succor smock and bloomers at the "unicorn" store!

Sprinkles on cookies or cupcakes or ice cream are "sparkles!!"

Banana = ba-banna

OLPS's mascot is the Bulldog. Mary Claire told Brian she was going to be a "doggy!"

Strawberry slush = strawberry LUSH

Fun day with Mom and Dad

Brian had taken off and it was my day off, so we brought the girls to the splash pad at City Park, McDonald's and then the children's TREE House Museum.

I wish the pictures looked as clear on the computer as they do on my phone.

Happy Birthday Nannie!

You are a truly amazing woman! Your patience is unending! Your service to your family is without fail! You go above and beyond the duty and call of a mother and grandmother!

We love you more than you could ever know!

Happy birthday Momma/Nannie!

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to the man who made me a mother!

And Happy Father's Day to the man who gave me life!

I love you both!

Haircut 6/16/12

Mary Claire has needed a hair cut for a few weeks now, but whenever I would say something about it she would whine and cry and just not want to get it done! I finally put my foot down and we went yesterday. She wasn't thrilled about it, as you can see, but she didn't cry either.

All I wanted was the very ends trimmed because she tells me she wants her hair to grow long like mine. :) It literally took the woman 5 minutes to do. Last time we got it done, the other lady charged us for a $5 bang trim; this time a different lady charged us for a $10 buzz cut! Needless to say, she didn't get a tip (remember, it only took FIVE minutes!). I don't think the lady was pleased with me, but oh well!
My girl is so beautiful!

Finally

We would go play at the mall and I would watch Mary Claire play and then watch all the other kids play; I would always wonder if Mary Claire would ever be brave enough or even agile enough to climb atop the toys. Well, today I found out! I think Nannie was a little freaked out, bit I was excited and proud!

Also, Mary Claire said the funniest thing as we were leaving; she and Molly were looking in the "funny" mirror and Mary Claire says, "This is Molly Catherine and I'm Mary Claire, Prompt Succor girl!" Too funny!!

New Orleans Day 2 and 3

Hopefully I can find my pictures from the zoo! In the picture above is Mary Claire's typical "cheese" face these days!

Walking to the Riverfront:
Mary Claire was such a big girl and walked a lot of the way!
Different scenes on the Riverfront:

Jackson Square:
St. Louis Cathedral is just beautiful:

Giving money to the street performers (just a note for myself: Mary Claire's money flew away and she and Brian had to go chase it down!):
At the aquarium:

Feeding the parakeets was one of the highlights for everyone:

Molly ATE the parakeet's food completely off her stick! Yuck!

Back at the aquarium:

I just had to include this picture! This little boy's family was trying to get him to leave this exhibit, but he stayed back to help Mary Claire pull down the "telescope!":
We had some tired girls! This was at the IMAX:

Beignets at Cafe du Monde:

Waiting for the Insectarium to open:

The butterfly garden was my favorite, but the girls just wanted to get out of there!:

We had a great time and look forward to going back when the girls are older and more interested!
