Ruined pool

The night of Halloween brought a bad storm with severe winds and tornadoes to our area.  I thought we were spared any damage until the next day when Brian texted me these pictures.

Our pool was ruined.  :(

We've gotten some money from our homeowner's insurance, but are waiting to see what they say about the new pool quote we received and submitted.

Marriage Convalidation

On December 20, 2018, Brian and I had our marriage "blessed (convalidated)" in the Catholic church.  This is something I've been wanting for a long time.  Brian had to go through the tribunal to have his two previous marriages annulled.  This proved to be quite difficult due to different circumstances (his first paperwork being mailed and never getting to the tribunal; his second set of paperwork sat on someone's desk for MONTHS!), but we persevered and both annulments were granted!

We then met with Father Dan O'Connor, our parish priest a few times.  Father Dan then gave us his blessing, and we set a date as soon as we could!

We chose Brian's brother Mike and my Uncle Mike to serve as our witnesses.

Nannie bought us this beautiful cake and we all went to Tunk's to celebrate!

These four stole Taylor's phone and were on Snapchat!

I feel so very blessed for this to happen!
