Freedom 5K March 23, 2013

Brian and I ran in the Freedom 5K; it is a race that benefits the Wounded Warrior Foundation.  This was my first race to run since high school and it was fun!  My time was 28:09 and Brian's was 30:01.  A little after that halfway point, I left Brian and took off!

Nannie and Poppa met us there to watch the girls, so we had a great cheering team!!

And we're off!

3/4 of our cheering squad!

I'm almost there!!

Go Daddy Go!

Getting her tattoo!

Tattoo time!

We ended the activities with a little jumping!

Fun with caps at Sutherland's!

While waiting in line to check out, the girls found the display of baseball caps and had a little fun!

Nursery Festival 2013

Daddy and his princesses
The weather was perfect for the nursery festival this year!  Daddy and the kids picked me up a little early from work and we headed to Forest Hill.  Usually we go on Friday afternoon, but had to go on Saturday this year.  There were a lot of people, but we still managed to have a good time.  We bought one tulip tree that I have been wanting (and it's already planted!!), some paddle ball things that were broken in less than an hour, a Sprite and tickets to ride!  We had a fun time and look forward to next year!

The girls are getting so big!

So proud of them waiting patiently, unlike some of the other kids out there!

My favorite!!

New Pope

With the resignation of Pope Benedict XVI at the end of February, a conclave of cardinals formed and today elected our new Pope. Pope Francis I, a Jesuit priest from Argentina, was elected.

Apparently, Mary Claire's class watched the announcement on TV during class. She has been talking about it all evening. I just showed her a picture of the new Pope and asked her who he was; she responded, "Our new Poke. He helps Jesus."

Out of the mouths of babes!!

Just to remember

Mary Claire and Emma from her class brought the gifts up at mass. I was one proud momma and she was one proud girl!

My beautiful Momma and me!

Taken on my 33rd birthday!

Mary Grace's birthday party!

Last Saturday, on Momma's birthday, Mary Claire was invited to Mary Grace's birthday party at Slinkee's.  I couldn't leave Molly out, so Nannie met us there to watch Molly.  Eight out of the eleven kids in the class were there!

Pizza time!  Connor was the only boy there - and he didn't want Strawberry Shortcake paperware!

Happy birthday to Momma!

The Thursday before my birthday, we went to Texas Roadhouse with Nannie, Poppa, Uncle David, Aunt Aspen, Tucker, and Anna!  Some of us had really good food, but some didn't.  Oh well, you win some, you lose some!

Nannie and Poppa gave me some $$$ and David and family gave me a pretty green shirt that fits good and looks good!  Thank you!

Molly enjoying Brian's petit four!  Haha!

The best picture we got!

On my birthday, I had to work 1430-2300....boo!!  But Brian, Nannie, Poppa and Mary Claire and Molly brought me supper at work and we ate in the cafeteria!  I loved hearing Molly yell, "Momma!!!" as I walked in!
Mary Claire won't stop making those funny faces!
Mary Claire snapped this one of Brian - haha!

Another funny face!  Oh well, I have the memories captured!

Valentine's Day Gifts

Okay, I realized, after downloading pictures off my camera, that I have a couple of posts to catch up on.

Brian was out of town for Valentine's Day, so it was just the girls and me.  We had nothing special going on, so it was just a quiet evening at home.

I do have to say that Brian's big gift to me was getting my wedding band re-done a little bit - I love it so much more!  And his watch had some repairs needed, so that was his gift from me!

I did get a card and some individual roses...they were really pretty!

The girls each got a Lego set!

Molly's stamps (they have her name on each stamp)
