Please pray.....

My Poppa was admitted to the hospital last night....chest pain.

Turns out he had a heart attack, has multiple blockages and will undergo open heart surgery Tuesday.

Please pray.

I'm going to have a niece!!

David and Aspen are going to have a little girl!!!

I am so excited that Mary Claire and Molly will have sweet little ____ to play with! (They have a name, but I'm not sure if everyone knows just yet, so I'm not spilling their beans!)

Perspective

As I sit here at work eating supper on the Christmas holiday weekend, I am reminded that I should be thankful I am here working and not here as a patient or visitor.

Walking around the house last night with a plastic Dora phone: "Where's my charger?"

This morning in my closet while she was trying on my shoes: "Shoe, you're getting on my nerves!"

This week

This week brings some fun Christmas parties!

On Tuesday, we are going with Nannie and Poppa to Tyrone Plantation for the Dive Club Christmas Party. A little background....we pass by Tyrone Plantation every day to and from work/school and Mary Claire tells me all the time that she wants to go to "Playcation." I always tell her that she has to ask Poppa, so Poppa is going to be number one for her after this party!

On Wednesday I have my Pokeno Christmas Party at Mom's house. We are just going to gather and eat finger foods and play a Dirty Santa game.

On Friday is the Flynn Building Specialties Christmas Party. This is always a very interesting party!

On Saturday we have the Brodnax Family Christmas Party. It's always nice to get together with cousins!

Mary Claire is THREE!

This little girl



is something else. She is too smart. She has an extremely kind heart, but at the same time she is full of attitude and sass.

is into princesses just like many, many other little girls these days! Her favorite is Belle from Beauty and the Beast, but only because that's really the only princess movie she will watch.

already knows what and where Chuck e. Cheese is! So Nannie and myself brought her and Molly there for her birthday lunch and to play for an hour.

had THREE birthday cakes! The first one her daddy had made for her and we had it when we celebrated Thanksgiving at Aunt Nel's house; the second one we sent to day care; and the third one we had on her actual birthday!

definitely has a love/hate relationship with her little sister. Molly is the first person Mary Claire asks for in the morning, but after about one minute the fighting starts. I'm still holding out hope that this is just a phase and they will soon become the best of friends.

is loved more than she will ever know!

I think THREE is going to be an extremely fun age, but also a very challenging age. Oh well, let's just have fun!
