Swimming at the neighbors
Mrs. Cindy tells us all the time that we can go swim and enjoy their pool. Well, last Tuesday we took her up on that offer.

Super Moon June 23
The June full moon was the biggest and closest to Earth all year. This was my weekend to work, so I was tired and didn't stay up to see it; but I got up early to see it.

Happy Birthday Nannie!
On June 20, Nannie turned 57! She and I had a fun day of lunch at The Cottage, then a fun time shopping at Hobby Lobby.
On Saturday, June 22, we all gathered at our house and ate. Brian cooked drunk chicken, baked potatoes and green beans. We had fresh tomatoes (from Poppa's garden) and fresh cucumber (from our garden), and Aspen made a yummy cake for dessert!
Happy, happy birthday Nannie!! We love you!

Pineville Police Awards Banquet
Friday evening, June 21, the Pineville Police held their first annual Awards Banquet. We all went to show our support for Daddy!
They served brisket, dirty rice, green beans, rolls, salad and different desserts. It was pretty good!
Since Daddy is a member of the Awards Committee, he was asked to speak.
I think he did good (I did have to bring Molly to potty during the middle of his speech!), but he said he was nervous and felt himself freeze up a couple of times.
Here is Brian getting and looking at his awards.
And here are some more pictures from the evening. We had a great time, but I didn't get to visit with everyone I should have!

Swim lessons at LC
I signed the girls up for swim lessons at Louisiana College. Today was their first lesson. Nannie and Poppa John took them so daddy could cook for Nannie's birthday dinner.
Nannie said they were both fearless; Molly more so than Mary Claire. I'm so proud they participated and got complimented!
They both go back tomorrow with Daddy bringing them, so I'm anxious to see what he has to say about it!

There are winners AND losers! Kids fall down! I agree 100% with this stuff!

Last Day of Princess Boot Camp
Yesterday was Mary Claire's last day of Princess Boot Camp at Steps by Stephanie. She had a blast all week! I'm kind of sad she has to go back to day care starting Monday, but such is life!
They had a performance yesterday afternoon that I was fortunate enough to be able to go watch. They danced to "Be My Guest" off of Beauty and the Beast! It was really cute! They even got eye make-up!
So glad for such a fun week! I will have to take pictures of her arts and crafts and come back later to post those!

Princess Boot Camp starts today!
Today was the first day of Princess Boot Camp at a local dance studio; Steps by Stephanie is run by a lady I went to high school with who is two years older than me. I know Mary Claire is really into dancing, so I thought this might be a way to introduce her slowly into dance to see if she would like to take classes. The theme for this week is A Week in Paris!
She woke up singing, "Boot camp, boot camp, here we come!"
Little sister just wanted to know if she could go in, but she had to go to day care first!
She was so excited!!
She loves her new lunch bag!!

Vacation Day 7
We started the day out with breakfast at The Hangout. They were featuring a pirates and princess breakfast; the kids followed the pirates looking for clues to treasure and when the treasure was found, they each got some of it.
Poppa John was back, so we enjoyed a long day at the beach and pool with him!
At the end of the day, we all got cleaned up and took some pictures in our navy and white!
I think everyone was glad to be home!
Molly wouldn't participate and only would pose with the princess - she cried when the pirates were around!
