Rainbows at Poppa's camp

Friday night we drove through a storm to get to the camp!

We were rewarded with beautiful rainbows!!

Clark Creek Natural Area

A few weeks ago on Facebook, a girl I graduated pharmacy school with posted about some hiking and waterfalls in Woodville, Mississippi. Well, Nannie and Poppa have been talking about getting a new trailer for the camp. Poppa found a place to go look at some - in Woodville, Mississippi!! I just happened to take off this weekend because Molly was supposed to play in the state tournament, but her team decided against that. 

So we tagged along to the trailer place, ate lunch at Sonic, then went to the waterfalls (after stupidly following Google maps 20 miles out of the way, then 20 miles back. Ugh.) 

The hike there was not bad. The hike UPHILL back got pretty rough!

At the beginning of the hike

The hike brought us to the top of the first waterfall!

Behind the falls. Such a neat place of nature. Nature's playground. The girls loved it!!

Then the four of us went walking down the creek and ended up at the top of the second waterfall. Nannie and Poppa had stayed at the top of the first one, so we didn't go any further. We walked back to the first waterfall to play. 

So pretty!!

And, yes, Poppa is buying a new trailer!!

Kisatchie Bayou today

We drove to Kisatchie Bayou today. It is between Natchitoches and Leesville. It wasBEAUTIFUL and so fun! We enjoyed nature, walked and swam in the creek bed, grilled hot dogs and learned to skip rocks!

Molly's District All-star Tournament

Molly's team lost to Pineville Friday night and to the other Alexandria team Saturday night.
