Happy #30 Uncle David!

We celebrated David's birthday at Hana Steakhouse and Sushi Bar.  We (Aunt Nel, Anna, Aspen, David, Nannie, Poppa, Poppa Hurley, Tucker, Mary Claire, myself, Molly, Brian, Uncle Mike and Aunt Billie) all enjoyed the Mongolian Grill!  We had a yummy cookie cake to finish it all off!

Thanks Uncle David for having a birthday so we could enjoy the entertainment and food!

No Sugarbugs!

I am so proud of these two girls!  We visited the dentist bright and early yesterday morning.  Both of them cried a little bit, but soon calmed down and had good visits.

No cavities and they got princess sparkle!!

Molly's Second Birthday Party

We celebrated Molly's birthday the Saturday after her birthday at Nannie and Poppa's house.  We had coloring pages and crayons, and wooden picture frames and paints for the kids to decorate.  We ordered pizza and had cake and ice cream.  It was low-key, but that was okay with everyone!

It's already been 5 years

Happy Anniversary Brian!

Five years ago we were in Hawaii. I remember it like yesterday. I will always remember our beautiful wedding, and also the trials and tribulations during that time in our lives.

I just re-read blog posts from this time last year. Our lives haven't changed much other than us getting older and the kids getting bigger. I feel like I'm in the same emotional state, questioning alot of things, but just trolling along. I feel like I have ideas to change things within our marriage/family for the better, but don't have the gumption to do it.

Let's see how the next five years go!

CMN Fundraiser and a Streaker

OLPS joined with many other companies today in Miracle Jeans Day to raise money for Cabrini's NICU. We paid $1 and Mary Claire wore her cute jean shorts and her CMN tshirt to school. Mrs. Sarah Kate even wants a tshirt for her son who is a NICU graduate!

Isn't my little streaker just the cutest? We had to take her dress off because she tee teed on it on the potty. She is doing wonderful with her potty training and I'm one proud Mommy! Mrs. Trudy stopped Brian the other day to tell him how far ahead Molly is with her communication skills. I hope we have two smart girls on our hands!!

Potty training, kites and football

I decided to focus on potty training with Molly this weekend since Nannie and Poppa were going to be out of town and the weather was supposed to be pretty dreary. So I got all of Mary Claire's old training panties out. Thursday evening and Friday evening we put the panties on Molly. She promptly had two accidents, but then started running to her potty! I read on the internet that it is easier to train being bare-bottomed, so that's what we did all day Saturday.

She had this shirt on at first, but it was too long and got peed on! She did NOT want her picture taken! (Can you blame her, though?)

We did take a little break to go outside because Mary Claire wanted to fly a kite. So we put some training panties on Molly and she peed in two pairs in the 45 minutes we were out there! Ugh! Maybe it will click today!?!?

We're planning to spend another long, boring day like this today. Poor Mary Claire must be bored because she's asked me a couple times already this morning what we are doing today!

(In other, unrelated news ULM Football defeated #8 Arkansas in OT last night....GO Indians...I mean Warhawks!!)

Happy birthday Daddy!

Today is Brian's birthday - #38!! He and I had lunch and then went and saw the documentary about if Obama is re-elected and what America will be like in 2016. It was very interesting.

We ended the day at Suburban Gardens with some delicious Italian food and then some yummy Atwood's cake!

I know it wasn't much, but I hope he had fun!
