Chattanooga

Brian took off Labor Day weekend (and I had a four day weekend), so we decided to take a quick trip together. Mom and Dad kept the girls for us. We left at midnight Friday morning and drove through. Our first stop was a quirky restaurant called Aretha Frankenstein's; it was recommended by some of Brian's coworkers.

This was the slim stack of pancakes!

We then walked from the North Shore to downtown across the famous Walnut Street Bridge.

By this point, Brian was exhausted (I had napped during the drive), so we called the hotel to see if we could check in early and they said yes! So we went and napped and showered then went back downtown for our Riverboat Dinner Cruise. The food was delicious and the entertainer was good.

The next day we visited Ruby Falls and Rock City. Ruby Falls is a waterfall found deep in a cave beneath Lookout Mountain!

Rock City was a neat place; caves and rock formations. You supposedly could also see seven states from one spot (on a clear day).

That evening we ate at The Pickle Barrel; the food was yummy!

Sunday we got up and went to the zoo and then a Lookouts baseball minor league game!

It was a good trip!
