Mary Claire and Molly,
I just wanted to take a minute and write y'all a little letter. I am so proud of the little girls y'all are becoming. I know I tend to get angry quickly, but I'm trying to get better at that. I am trying to constantly remind myself that y'all are only 4.5 and 2.5. I think I'm doing pretty good.
I am excited for this school year; y'all will both be at Prompt Succor. I'm anxious to see how Mary Claire does in Pre-K. I cannot wait for next week to find out who's class Mary Claire will be in. Molly, it is so weird for me to think of you at OLPS; you are starting there at 2!! Crazy! I know you will love being in Mrs. Sarah Kate's and Mrs. Phyllis' class. You know what to expect, and you can't wait to get your cookbook!!
I know y'all don't appreciate it now, but I have been trying to create new experiences for y'all this summer. Just today we visited the Alligator Park in Natchitoches for the first time. Y'all were very good girls there. We had a fun visit to the beach with Nannie and Poppa, and Uncle David, Aunt Aspen, Tucker and Anna. Mary Claire had lots of fun experiences with day care this summer - the zoo, Slinkee's, the splash pad, bowling, and different events at the library.
I am also very proud of your behavior in church as of late. Mary Claire, you are learning the routine of the mass; you know many responses and are learning when to sit, stand and kneel. Mary Claire, you know the Our Father, Hail Mary and three different Blessings before Meals. Molly, you know the Our Father, Hail Mary and one Meal Blessing. I recorded you once saying them, and I need to do it again.
Thank you for letting me learn to mother. I look forward to many more fun experiences with y'all!
I love you,
Momma
