Our weekend....an update

Saturday was Nannie's birthday, so Mary Claire and I went to spend the day with her. We gave Nannie her birthday present and she loved everything! Yay! Then we went and ran some errands and met Papa John and Uncle David at The Cottage for lunch. Mary Claire is normally a very good shopper, but I think because it was so hot outside and she was having to go in and out of the car and her car seat she just wasn't happy! But she wasn't bad, just not as good as she normally is! Mary Claire and I then went to church with Nannie, Papa John, Gammie, Granddad and Uncle Thomas. So she had a busy day!

Sunday was also a busy day for us! It was Father's Day! So Happy (Belated) Father's Day to all the daddies we didn't get to see on Sunday! Mary Claire and I went to Gammie's for lunch. Mary Claire tried some of Nannie's potato salad, Aunt Billie's green beans and Gammie's banana pudding! Yummy! Here are some pictures from our Sunday Father's Day lunch.....

After lunch at Gammie's house, Mary Claire and Nannie went back to Nannie's house and took a long nap! Uncle David and I took Papa John to play 9 holes of golf. We had a lot of fun, but it was HOT! Then we packed everything up and came home to celebrate Father's Day with Brian, Taylor and Grandpa (Brian's dad). Papa John grilled some delicious steaks and we had baked potatoes, corn on the cob, salad, petit fours, brownies and sand tarts......yummy, yummy!

After everyone left, I wanted to get a picture of Brian and his baby girl on their 1st Father's Day together, but after Mary Claire's long weekend, all she wanted was her bottle and her our bed. These pictures were the end results:

Poor baby!

Mary Claire had a few new accomplishments this weekend! She has learned to wave "bye-bye!" She also went from a sitting position to being on her stomach twice that I saw! Maybe she's trying to get somewhere!
