Update

Well, we decided to back off on the spoon-feeding. Mary Claire would just scream and scream while we tried to feed her. We've decided she is just not ready. She still gets cereal in her bottle at night. I've thought about maybe trying to spoon some of her formula into her mouth to get her used to the spoon, but I just don't know. She has also had diarrhea since we gave her the cereal mixed with applesauce! It is just no fun to change those diapers!

I'm also wondering if maybe she is an early teether?? Her hands stay in her mouth and when she grabs onto something it goes directly into her mouth! This would also explain the diarrhea. I've tried feeling her gums for a tooth, but haven't felt anything yet. Who knows!?!?
